The week before Christmas in our house is often rather busy with last minute planning taking over. I often find myself writing list upon list to make sure I don’t forget that crucial gift or the cranberry sauce! When Della first asked me to photograph her beautiful birthday celebration, I was delighted. Firstly, it meant I got to spend a fantastic evening at The Devonshire Arms Hotel at Bolton Abbey capturing an amazing event; and secondly, it relieved me from the pressure of the “Christmas to do List” – bliss!
The hotel, when I arrived, was calm and peaceful and had tasteful Christmas music playing in the background. Every part of the hotel was adorned with Christmas decorations and as the guests arrived you could see that they too quickly got into the Christmas spirit. A snow machine situated at the entrance of the hotel made for some fabulous couple shots as the guests arrived and made their way into the champagne reception.
The whole evening was splendid from start to finish and I felt very honoured to be able to capture the event for the lovely couple. I can’t possibly share all the images they’ve chosen for their album here on the website however below I’ve chosen a selection of the couple’s favourite (and mine too).
