I was delighted to be asked to capture the memories at David & Charlotte’s fabulous wedding at Cliveden House, Berkshire. It was held on 26th May and the weather was perfect, it was very hot and not a cloud in the sky – as it happens it was the best weekend we’ve had so far with this British Summer!
I arrived at Cliveden House early in the morning and was buzzed through the huge iron gates at the entrance of the National Trust property. The approach to the hotel is utterly breathtaking and it made the start to the day even more exciting. This was the view that greeted me as I turned the final corner.
After saying good morning to the door man, I spent a few minutes in the reception area before heading off to photograph the bridal preparations.
When I arrived at the room the bridal preparations were in full swing. The atmosphere was very calm and everyone was having a lovely time. Later, I popped downstairs to see the dining room decorated with stunning flowers and then met the groom, best man and the ushers.
The wedding was a fabulous event with such warmth and love throughout the whole day. There was a magician to entertain the children after they had eaten their meal, followed by great speeches then a river boat cruise along the Thames.
There are hundreds of photographs and I can’t show them all here on my blog, so I’ve chosen a selection (with the help of Charlotte & David) to share with you all here. Enjoy! x
After the champagne had been flowing for a while, I took Charlotte & David away from their guests for ten minutes to take some photos of them alone in the incredible surroundings of Cliveden House.
Simply stunning. Despite being hot, it was really windy too – I just love how the wind has whipped up the bottom of Charlotte’s dress!
