On this beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, I’m delighted to be able to share the story of this gorgeous family portrait photography session I did in November last year at the iconic Fountains Abbey, Ripon. This is a venue I’ve wanted to photograph at for years and it made a perfect day out for my clients, who live in London and had come to visit family for the weekend.
When we met outside the cafe, Ed & Henrietta made me feel very welcome and we connected straight away. We spent a couple of hours strolling through the grounds exploring the ruined Abbey with their daughters and also their eldest tried her hand at a little bit of map reading too! Henrietta was wearing the most gorgeous blue boots and her little girl had yellow wellies on…I knew I had to capture these together and imagine my delight when they both stood together at a gate… it was the perfect mother and daughter photograph. Wherever you look at Fountains Abbey the views are beautiful and the autumn leaves were stunning. I loved capturing this family story and below I’ve shared some favourite images which I hope you enjoy too.
Capturing family connections is so important to me. These memories can be passed down to generations and mean so much to my clients. I receive lots of lovely feedback after each family portrait session and it would be great to chat through your ideas for your family. Please send me an email at memories@ceciliacostello.co.uk and I’ll be in touch!
