Caught in mid jump – that’s what I love about capturing precious memories. A little boy being himself, running oblivious of the camera. Just wonderful. This chatty little boy spent a couple of hours with his Mum & I out and about in Pudsey, Leeds. We ran around lots, played hide & seek, looked for aeroplane trails and then headed back to his home for drinks and a biscuit.
I take great pride on every family & child portrait photography session I do and it’s really important to me that I capture the emotion in the children I photograph. This little boy loved running and I just adore this photo of him skipping along the side of a bowling green.

Jumping over the flags on this pathway avoiding the ‘crocodiles’ reminded me of my childhood days when I used to play a similar game in our local park. Just wonderful. It was raining a little at this time during the photo shoot but we carried on and I think it adds to the atmosphere.

Momentarily, we had a break from running around (thankfully I managed to catch my breath!) and he gave me this heartwarming smile. This is one of my favourites.
